Our engineering product "Unified-E App Designer" is free and can be downloaded here:
Only our runtime licenses are charged. There are two licenses for Unified-E, which differ from the type of access to machines and endpoints:
With the Gateway license, you can unlock the functions of the Unified-E App Manager. Gateway licensing is done per HMI device registration on the gateway PC. The price for subscription licenses is always per user and consists of a one-time deployment fee and a service fee with annual billing. In addition to the subscription licenses, there is also the BASIC license for a one-time purchase price with unlimited use of the operator app, but then without the use of online services (e. g. no push messages, no messaging services).
The gateway licenses merely distinguish which types of communication are supported (see also Communication types).
The STANDARD test license of the Unified App Manager is free, unlimited in time and only requires online registration.
The test license is expressly for test or demo purposes only and may not be used commercially, eg to operate a machine or system permanently. You can register here for free. The Unified-E App Manager can be found in the Downloads section.
The PRO-Test license of the Unified-App Manager can be tested free of charge for 30 days. The trial license is offered when starting the Unified-E App Manager. The test license is expressly only intended for test or demo purposes and may not be used commercially, eg to operate a machine or system permanently. The Unified App Manager can be found in the download area.
* Commercial subscription license::
All subscription prices are per user. A user is a registered operator of a control app. The billing of the service fee takes place annually. It includes the use of online services (such as push messaging) and the latest Unified-E apps.
** Firewall friendly
Firewall-friendly means that communication takes place with a messaging service and therefore no port forwarding to the gateway PC needs to be configured.
With the direct license, you sign the operator app created in the Unified-E App Designer so that it can be used for direct communication without the Unified-E App Manager. Per specific application (e.g. machine, plant) a direct license is required.
Currently, direct communication for the iOS and Android platforms only supports the following adapters:
You can use non-signed applications and operator apps at any time; these can then only be used on the HMI devices for 24 hours. The test license mode is expressly for test or demo purposes only and may not be used commercially, e. g. to operate a machine or plant permanently.
** Firewall friendly
Firewall-friendly means that communication takes place with a messaging service and therefore no port forwarding to the gateway PC needs to be configured. No fixed IP address is required for this.
