While the HMI can communicate directly with the PLC via OPC UA, Modbus, S7, or Allen Bradley, the gateway option enables central management and extended communication drivers such as SQL and HTTP adapters, ideal for distributed systems.
Unified-E runs on powerful Windows panel PCs and supports cost-effective Android HMI panels, which are increasingly being used in industrial applications. If long-term recordings, alarm logs, or user tracking are required, the Unified-E App Manager as a server ensures central storage of messages and data – even if the operating station is turned off.
In direct communication without a server, the data is stored directly on the operating device as long as the Unified-E Client application is active.
The creation of HMI visualizations is done easily via drag & drop with the Unified-E App Designer. Integrated functions such as charts, trend logging, progress displays, and recipe management facilitate development. In addition, seamless integration with external systems such as SQL databases and JSON APIs is possible.
